Popeyes Spicy Chicken Sandwich … But Healthier 🎞

I partnered up with @gymshark to share how you can still enjoy your favorite food at home while maintaining a healthy and delicious lifestyle 🀎✨

Air fried spicy chicken & homemade whole wheat buns (recipe coming soon)🀀

Recipe:
6-10 chicken thighs (you can use chicken breasts as well)
Marinade – 1 cup buttermilk
– 1 tbsp garlic powder
– 1 tbsp paprika
– 1 tsp salt

Flour –
– 1 cup AP flour
– 1 heaping tbsp cornstarch
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tbsp onion powder
– 1 tbsp garlic powder
– 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
– 1 tsp cayenne pepper
– 1 tbsp paprika
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tbsp black pepper

– Buttermilk: (Same as marinade) Add 1 egg

Spicy Mayo:
– you can keep it simple by mixing together Mayo and Sriracha

Or you can mix together:

– 1/2 cup Mayo
– 1/2 tbsp vinegar
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tbsp paprika
– 1/4 tsp onion powder
– 1/4 tsp cayenne
– salt & black pepper to taste
– 1 tbsp ketchup

– tip: before you fry your chicken, spray both sides with PAM ( or any oil spray) it will help you achieve a beautiful crispy coating🀎

Air fry chicken @ 395Β°F for 10 min, flip chicken, then another 10 min:)
