Cream cheese & Jam Danishes π₯ I have to say… this recipe has to be my favorite that Iβve posted on my page π they tasted amazing!! Canβt wait for you guys to try it out!
Recipe:
– 1 cup of warm milk
– 2 1/2 tsp yeast
– 1/3 cup of sugar
– 4 egg yolks
– 4 cups all purpose flour
– 2 tbsp sour cream
– 1/2 of salt
– 6 tbsp room temp butter
Filling:
– 2 block room temp cream cheese (16 oz)
– 1/2 cup of sugar
– 1 tbsp vanilla extract
– Jam of your choice
Crumble:
– 1/3 cup flour
– 1/3 cup sugar
– 3 tbsp melted butter
~ 5 tbsp melted butter to brush on final product ~
Just put these on the oven canβt wait to try them
My butter didnβt incorporate into the dough?? Just a sticky mess and the dough was hard. Any ideas what I did wrong?

How do you do the crumble?? Mine doesnβt come out right
Made these last nite. Added about 2tbl lemon juice to the cream cheese cuz I β€οΈ π. They were delicious, not too sweet either. These danishes have the texture of sweet bread, maybe a bit denser not the flaky, crumbly texture youβll get from the bakery. Those are made with puff pastry. Personally I prefer this one as Iβm not a fan of puff pastry. Iβll tweak the recipe next time to get a lighter texture.

Try brushing it with syrup (sugar, water equal amounts boil and add a couple drops of lemon to prevent the sugar from crystallizing) it tastes bombbbb even better
